President & Managing Director
Founder of Element Capital, Mr. D’Agostino is a Boston College graduate with a B.S. in Economics and Finance. Started his career as Finance VP of Dayco Holding Corp, his family’s real estate investment company with over US$300 million in assets primarily in Florida, Colorado and Venezuela. In 2000 on behalf of Cartera de Inversiones Venezolanas C.A., a private equity investment firm with over US$7 billion in assets, Mr. D’Agostino acquired Banco Noroco, a small commercial bank. Merged the bank with a mortgage broker company obtaining a full retail bank license and renamed it Norvalbank. In 2003 after Norvalbank grew from US$70 million in assets to US$500 million, Mr. D’Agostino again merged the bank with Banco Occidental de Descuento (BOD). When the merger was completed, Mr. D’Agostino founded the private banking division for BOD. Today BOD’s private banking division manages over US$1 billion in assets. Mr. D’Agostino currently sits in the Board of Directors of Banco Occidental de Descuento (BOD) and CA de Seguros La Occidental (CASLO); Venezuela’s largest financial conglomerate. Mr. D’Agostino also sits on the advisory board for The Enclave Foundation in Venezuela. This non-profit organization designed and manages a music program for low-income schools graduating hundreds of children every year.
Jose Luis Feugas
Mr. Feaugas graduated from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas-Venezuela as an Attorney. He holds a Masters Degree in Mercantile Law from Universidad Central de Venezuela, and completed studies of European Community Studies at Pro-Deo University in Rome, Italy. He started his career in 1975 as an attorney in governmental institutions in Venezuela such as the Attorney General’s Office, the Production and Commerce Ministry and FOGADE. In 1994 he started working for Banco Occidental de Descuento, B.U. as a member of the Board of Directors. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for several companies such as OPEN, C.A., Cartera de Inversiones Venezolanas, C.A., C.A. de Seguros La Occidental and Banco Occidental de Descuento, B.U.
Alfredo I. Vargas
Mr. Vargas graduated with honors from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas Venezuela with a Law Degree. He is a Vanderbilt and Vogelstein Scholar from New York University School of Law where he obtained his Master´s Degree in Corporate Law. He also holds an Advance Professional Certificate in Law and Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Mr. Vargas started his professional career at Cartera de Inversiones Venezolanas, C.A. and its subsidiaries, a corporate conglomerate with over US$ 10 Billion in assets. Mr. Vargas has experience in corporate buyouts, mergers, securitizations, capital markets, structured finance, and banking. As a Venezuelan attorney he has legal experience in Panama, Curacao, New York and Dominican Republic. In 2008 he worked as a Financial Analyst at Permal Asset Management in New York, a US$ 25 Billion fund of funds part of the Legg Mason Group of Companies. Currently he is the Corporate Director of Banco de Las Americas (Bancamerica) in Dominican Republic. Mr. Vargas is admitted to practice in Venezuela and passed the New York Bar Exam, currently pending admittance to practice in New York. Mr. Vargas also sits on the Board of Directors of Cartera de Inversiones Venezolanas, C.A. and Banco de Las Americas
